Rebuild 2: The Missions

Aside from knowing what you people can and can’t do, it also pays knowing the four basic tasks that any character can do for non-territory areas. These will determine what a player will do for the duration of a day (or longer, depending on the mission), and will heavily affect how fast you progress in the game.

“Scouting” lets you know the basic information of a location, some areas are already pre-scouted, allowing you to check if a location has survivors or salvageable loot, and the amount of zombies infesting it. If an area has not been scouted, sending people there could be dangerous as there is no way to tell if you are sending enough troops or if you are wasting (and risking) manpower and time. In general, scouting is a safe task, which means that whoever you send will definitely come back alive. Once you get into the business of expanding your territory (which should happen early on), it is important that you spend time scouting new locations as soon as you can.

“Scavenging” lets you send people in with a single task in mind: look for anything of value and bring it back to camp. At the very least, your scavengers will be able to bring back a few rations worth of food. On a really good run, they can come back with useful tools, or even new weapons.

“Recuit Survivors” is a matter of talking to the random humans still living outside of the camp and getting them to join the group. Some survivors will readily join you, other will take a little bit of convincing. This is where leaders come in, their high charisma and ability to communicate will help convince these stubborn survivors that they have got a better chance inside your walls.

“Kill Zombies” this should be the first task you do after you send in a scout. Regardless of the volume and number of the zombies infesting a location, investing a short amount of time for soldiers to clear a path for your leaders and scavengers helps ensure the safe return of your people. After all, less casualties means better chances of survival.

“Reclaim Land”, this is the coup-de-grace of missions to blocks outside your territory; sending in your builders to fortify and include the new building in your occupied area allows you to increase the overall defensive strength of the city. This also allows you to gain access to schools, churches, apartments, laboratories, malls and other structural resources that are others difficulty to obtain without a high level builder and plenty of land to transform.

Rebuild 2 along with many other undead strategy games require patience and practice to succeed and with the strategy guides found at our site we hope your game playing experience will be made that bit more rewarding, enjoy!
